Snowflake
This year, we decided it was time to renovate our Christmas tree decorations.  My lovely wife went out and bought some new ornaments for the tree, and I went out and got some new, modern lights for the tree.

Well, I’m done!  I’ve completed my Photo a Day project for 2010!  Yay!  This is my grand finale, and I have to admit, I’m pretty pleased with it.  I put in quite a few hours to get to the point of being able to take the shot.  This is simply water with food colouring in it, but it goes everywhere, so I need to clean up after each attempt.  Even the ceiling needs to be wiped down…
I want to thank all my friends and followers who visited my Tumblr blog over the past year.  Your encouragement was more helpful than you can imagine.  Not all my photos were worth much, but I can assure you that my photography has come a long way since January 1, 2010.  Happy New Year to each and every one of you!  May the New Year bring you health, happiness and prosperity!

Week 8 - Semaine 8
Shots of Colour - Éclats de couleurs
In the past, I dabbled in high speed photography a bit and given the number of questions I received, I’ve been meaning to create a tutorial on the subject.  On the weekend, I finally got around to taking the photos needed for the tutorial, and this was the last one I took.  It’s always fun to look at the results of this type of photography, but a fair bit of work goes into the preparation, and even more time in clean up.  Keep an eye out for the tutorial, it will be posted here soon.
